Why us

What makes us different

Our aesthetic is a living tribute to a deep-rooted heritage. Grounded in slow fashion and sustainability, every single saree is evaluated by hand before it is allowed onto the site — and we would rather list four pieces we believe in than forty we do not.

What you can count on

Three things we do not compromise

Handwoven, and we can prove it

Every saree comes off a handloom, worked by artisans using techniques that predate the mill. We name the cluster on the product page, because a weave without a place is just a word.

Chosen one at a time

Nothing here arrives by the carton. Each piece is evaluated by hand before it is listed, and most of them exist as a single saree. If it is on the site, we would wear it.

Real silk, honestly described

Katan is called katan and tissue is called tissue. Fibre, weave, zari and length are stated on every page, and we photograph in daylight without retouching the colour.

Newly off the loom

Latest arrivals

We work with close to 12,000 artisans on fair trade terms. Every creation is handcrafted and directly sourced, so the money reaches the loom.

Write to us if you want photographs of a specific piece in daylight, or help choosing between two.
