Pure katan — the tightly twisted silk that gives a Banarasi its body and its particular dry rustle. The border runs broad on both edges and the pallu carries full brocade. It holds a pleat like almost nothing else and gains character with age.

Dry clean only. Store folded in a muslin wrap, away from direct sunlight and damp. Air the saree every few months and refold along a different line so the zari does not crease in one place. Please note we cannot stand behind textiles that have been hand washed or cleaned by any method other than dry cleaning.
